The Sussex Railroad
The Sussex Railroad was formed with the original intention of tapping the
Andover Iron Mines the a connection with the Sussex Mine Railroad.
Construction was authorized for a railroad to run from Newton to Waterloo and
the Morris Canal on the southern end. The recorded length of
railroads and branchs 35 miles, or thereabouts.
